Review: Camp Macy’s Family Fun Day

This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

I think it’s far to say….SUMMER IS HERE! While I wish I could take the summer off of work and go exploring with my kiddo, the reality is we have to find creative adventures crafted around my schedule. We won’t be going to Bermuda this summer, but that’s ok! Camp Macy’s has you covered tons of family friendly summer activities all in a store you may want to browse around in!

Camp Macy’s are pretty amazing and a wonderful initiative of Macy’s to harness the American spirit and provide exciting opportunities for kids of all ages. Last we visited our local Camp Macy’s at Macy’s Rockingham Park just north of Boston in Salem, New Hampshire.

I was excited to see what was in store as we climbed the escalator as I knew my kiddo wasn’t thrilled about buying new socks and undergarments. The ability to shop and keep my kids occupied and having fun? Sign me up!

As part of their American Icons campaign, Macy’s hosts Camp Macy’s with a variety of summer activities we remember, like going to camp when we were kids.  Instead of sending your little ones to overnight camp, try Camp Macy’s.  Kids can enjoy a camp like experience indoors through readings, storytelling, BINGO and snacks . There were really cute (and great quality) at the arts and crafts station where kids can show their American spirit, refreshments, giveaways, and more! And what’s more American and iconic than Macy’s and summer camp?

Summer is about FUN and enjoying family time together and fun summer activities. Camp Macy’s is a place for families to create lasting memories! Capture special moments while you’re at the event and use #AmericanSelfie to be entered into a contest run by Macy’s! Macy’s will donate $1 for each #AmericanSelfie up to $250k, to support America’s veterans with Got Your 6. A handful of winners will be selected for a spectacular moment in Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks show on NBC!

Head to Edaville USA for Family Fun this Weekend! #ad

I’ve partnered with Fidelity & MEFA for this post in support of the U.Fund Dreams Tour. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

With school winding down in a few weeks, sprinklers providing endless fun for kids, and the sun beaming bright I’m happy to say – summer is FINALLY here!! Like many other families once the weather gets nice you’ll find my daughter and I spending long days outdoors at different attractions here in New England. During the warmer months there are tons of great family friendly events in and around the Boston area. This weekend we’ll be heading down to Carver, MA to Edaville USA, a special events park with vintage amusement rides sure to keep your kids busy! This weekend will feature a Day Out with Thomas – a family event centered around the Thomas the Tank Engine and a 20 minute train ride! Oh and did I mention Edaville has FREE parking?! Also helpful: all park rides and attractions included in your admission! Be sure to check out their events calendar to see what different children’s characters will be featured over the summer months!

As my daughter wraps up 2nd grade she can’t help but remind me she’s turning NINE in three short months and that she’ll be 18 in just ten years (YIKES!). While I encourage her to stay young, I’m also encouraging her to pursue her passions which currently include acting, singing, and of course, dancing. I’ll be excited to stop by the U.Fund Dreams Tour this weekend at Edaville and help show my daughter that the sky truly is the limit. Through a series of small hands-on activities the U.Fund Dreams Tour is helping kids imagine the endless possibilities their futures hold. While your child is picturing themselves as an astronaut, rock star or teacher in front of a green screen you’ll have the opportunity to learn about saving for college and supporting your child’s hopes for the future.

I hope to see you there!
