NO, I’m not pregnant 🙂
I stay surprising myself. And my newest adventure has been quite the surprise.
My daughter is nine and will be the big ol 1-0 in September which is absolutely mind boggling to me. My big eyes curly headed girl who always needed to be up under Mommy is now emailing a 100 times a day, making videos and her assets are growing at a rate that is NOT ok with me!! She is lovely and as I think about our journey I can’t help but want another baby…
PUMP THE BRAKES / Do NOT pass GO, do NOT collect $200!!
While I firmly believe no-one is truly ready for a baby regardless of how many “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” books ya read, our family is not fully at a position to bring another child into the world. So what do I go and do?
Get a PUPPY of course! Yes, we’ve adopted a puppy!
World, meet the newest member of our family, pup Logan Griswold! (ain’t he cute!)
How’d we choose his name? Great question! (Logan because the boyfriend loves Wolverine. Griswold because my favorite movie on the planet is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I can’t wait to get my moose reindeer mug!)
Our little 5 month puppy, a Brindle Terrier, who we adopted him from Last Hope K9 Rescue in Boston was born in a shelter in Arkansas then fostered with a great local family before our house became his home. It’s been a whirlwind over the past three days we’ve had him, but we are all so happy to have him!
This is my first dog ever and our family’s first pup and we’re looking forward to learning best practices for raising a kind respectful pup from our friends!
Happy 4th of July, friends!!
