I participated in an Ambassador Activation on behalf of Influence Central for the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
Hard to believe that there are just 31 days until Boston’s Jimmy Fund Walk! (And only 30 days until my 30th!!). Just last month I posted about how I’m joining thousands of walkers both in person and virtually on Sunday, September 27 to for the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund walk presented by Hyundai and help Dana-Farber Cancer Institute conquer all cancers in both children and adults.
Want to get involved? Good news! There is still time to register for the walk – don’t be alarmed you don’t have to walk the 26.2 miles from Hopkinton. There are other starting points along the route like Wellesley (13.1mi). Boston College (5mi) and Dana-Farber (3mi) you can begin at. Regardless of where you start all participants will cross the finish line at Copley Square where walkers and their families can enjoy some of Boston’s best live music and bites. Click here to register and be sure to use the promo code BLOG to get $5 off!
I’m still a ways away from my $300 fundraising goal, so if you’d like to support me by donating $5 it would sure make me happy! Every dollar raised by myself and the other walkers is helping the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world. I’m tired of living in a world of terminal diseases – we can do better. Together. Maybe cancer has touched your life like it has mine. Maybe you’ve lost a loved one due to the disease and maybe you’re not personally affected. The point is it doesn’t matter, we should all want better for each other and ourselves and should all make it a priority to invest in crucial cancer research. We shouldn’t just have to imagine a cancer free world. It should be a reality. For my Grandma and for all of those who have been touched by the horrid disease.
